Odisha Registers 2nd Death, Patient No. 44 Dies

Health & Family Welfare department informed that Odisha reported 2nd death from novel coronavirus after patient no. 44 breathed his last today (Tuesday) at hospital.


The H & FW department added, patient No. 44 from West Bengal died this morning due to hypopituitarism multi-organ with septic shock and multi organ failure.





As per sources, the patient had previously been operated at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar for pituitary tumour. During his visit for follow up treatment, he was tested COVID-19 positive. The department further said that he had recovered from the deadly disease but could not be discharged due to pre-existing medical complaints.
