Voting for Delhi Assembly is currently underway
after the national capital witnessed a bitterly fought election campaign. The
election, where over 1.47 crore voters are likely to cast ballots, pits Indian
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against the
incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Congress is the third contender.
An estimated 42.29 per cent of the 1.47 crore
eligible voters cast their votes in the first eight hours till 4 pm on Saturday
in the election for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Robert Vadra and their son Raihan Rajiv Vadra, who is a first-time voter, have cast their vote at booth no.114 and 116 in Lodhi Estate.
The early hours saw low polling as very few voters
chose to brave the early morning chill to cast their franchise even after the
polling began at 8 am amid tight security.
